HALALA INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE 2009 KAKAMEGA KENYA

SIGALAGALA RESOLUTIONS

1.    United Halala Organization [UHO] launched to spearhead the efforts of establishing and coordinating newly created Halala Chapters around the world.2.    United Halala Organization to host an International Conference for all Halala Organizations in a western Kenya town every two year to develop new  goals and review progress of existing once.3.    All Halala Chapter leaders will automatically became members of United Halala Organizations.4.    Kakamega Halala Chapter launched under the leadership of Mr. Martin Kokonya as Chairman.5.    Halala USA leadership to assume leadership in running the newly created United Halala Organization. All Halala chapters will share the same mission statement and purpose. 6.    All Halala chapters must share the same mission statement and be established for the same purpose welfare of self and project development for the region. 7.    Halala Organizations priorities for western Kenya should focus on Medical, Education, clean water, electricity and youth development.8.    Halala USA to plan a youth conference for the region in the next two years.9.    Halala to promote sporting activities among the youth in the region.10. Halala women groups to be established within the Halala frame to adapt and implement Halala projects as may be assigned by the organization.

Halala Kenya was created in 2009 by members of Halala Kakamega and Nairobi Chapters. The organization hopes to co-ordinate halala activities and projects here in Kenya. Members of Halala Kenya will be drawn from Halala groups established in Kenya.

OVERAL OBJECTIVE OF HALALA.
The main goal of Halala is to empower the residents of Western region of Kenya to
become change agents by identifying and sustaining their own community
development initiatives. We achieve this by providing subsidized and affordable
health care system, promoting good health and creating jobs in the community.
Specifically, we aim at: improving the health and hygiene standards of residents of
the region and eradicate Malaria, typhoid, and provide essential vaccinations to
children. The proposed clinic’s approach is to accomplish the following; promotion
of environmental health; Reduction of HIV/AIDS and Malaria; Improvement in access
to primary health care, and provision of appropriate health education interventions.
